John will vigorously defend private property rights by opposing unnecessary regulations and eminent domain abuses, ensuring Medina County government respects and defends landowners’ freedoms and supports responsible and fair market rural development and eliminating acts of self-interests.

Cut Government Waste

John will scrutinize county spending by promoting ethical behavior and transparency through a thorough quarterly bids and audit process before awarding contracts and services in Medina County. This will eliminate any perception of controlled bidding or unethical trade and vendor relationships/ actions.

Cut Property Taxes

John will fight to lower the county’s property tax burden by advocating for a fair and accurate appraisal process that lowers taxes in difficult economic times and deteriorating market conditions. Alleviate difficulty and stress on property owners in dispute process and provide private property advocates on the review board. Defend 100 percent disabled veterans from being forced or coerced into paying PID taxes in Medina County.

Promote Road Safety

John will Eliminate dangerous cross overs on Highway 90 and improve ingress and egress safety to new and existing community entry.

Institute a proactive Infrastructure plan for Bexar County Intrusion from Highway 90
/ FM471/ FM1957 into Medina County

John will lead efforts to develop and advocate for a comprehensive, forward-looking plan to upgrade and maintain Highway 90, addressing congestion, safety concerns, and growth impacts to improve mobility for residents and businesses.

Address Floodplain and Drainage Concerns

John will work to identify and mitigate flooding and poor drainage issues to public roadways and public access areas across Medina County by supporting targeted infrastructure projects, better planning in flood-prone areas, and collaboration with state and local partners to address safety concerns during heavy rain and flooding conditions.
